This is an add-on to Outlook that turns your PC into a customer relationship management tool. It let`s your PC be interfaced with the telephone system easily.
TAPICall application lets you do computer telephony integration through the Microsoft`s the Telephony Application Programming Interface (TAPI) API. The purpose of the TAPI specification is to provide control of telephony resources to applications. Working through the Outlook the software package is able to do Identification of the caller and display of the corresponding Outlook contact sheet. It enables automatic display of memos associated with the contact. It is capable of automatically creating journal entries letting you add history of what happened during the call. Automatic call back feature lets you call the contact back anytime you need to. You are presented with a bubble containing information about the caller. You get access to all relevant data such as memos, documents and contracts etc.
Building and maintaining customer relationships becomes very easy for the organization. Working through the MS Exchange this package is able to get you access to contacts on whom details have been entered on some other location too. Whoever gets to handle the current contact is able to review all the history and respond meaningfully. On a call you are able to review the complete details of the caller if he has called before. The call status display is easily understandable and operators can be trained easily to start using the same. The familiar Outlook environment is helpful too. Overall this is a nice package. But, obviously is meant for small organizations. It is conceivable that you could use more than one such system but automatic call routing to more than one such station or skill based routing are not possible. They are the backbones of a proper and efficient contact center supporting your CRM operations.
